GMAT Educational Eligibility

GMAC states no such education eligibility for studying Master in Business Administration program or Master in Management or Finance related programs. Students who appear for the exam are mostly graduated students or working professionals.

GMAT Age Limit

GMAC has stated that the
minimum age limit to appear for the exam is 18 and above. Any student below 18 willing to take the exam must get a consent letter from their parents. GMAT Number of Attempts

Students can attend the exam
5 times a year with a 16 calendar days gap. Totally students can appear for the GMAT exam 8 times in their lifetime.

GMAT Retake Criteria

The GMAT retake criteria is that
students can’t sit for the GMAT Online exam more than twice continually. For example, if a student, let’s assume Jhansi, appears for the GMAT Online exam on July 1 and wants to retake the exam. She can do so on July 17 for the same GMAT Online exam. If she feels she wants to retake the test again, she should appear for the in-person exam at a test centre rather than Online. Because it is a rule, students should continuously take the Online exam only two times. So totally, Jhansi has attempted three times in a year and the same will be considered for the lifetime limit also.

So lastly, she attended the in-person exam at the test centre. Now she wants to switch to the Online exam,
which she can do without the 16 days calendar gap. Switching between the Online to In-person or In-person to Online doesn’t need the 16 days calendar gap, but giving the Online tests continuous two times requires 16 days calendar gap.

GMAT Language Criteria

There is
only one language in which the GMAT exam is conducted: English. Since the standard form of conducting the exam is in English, there are not any other regional languages used for the same.

Work Experience

On the GMAT official website
www.mba.com, it has been pointed out that MBA aspirants should have a minimum of two years of work experience. But an average MBA aspirant will have two to five years of work experience.

But on the other hand, the website also says that “work experience” is not the sole predictor of an application’s success.

It clearly mentions that an exceptional GPA, an outstanding GMAT score, and self-learned data analysis skills can equal the absence of professional work experience. It also adds an essential point that outside work activities like hobbies, extracurricular activities and community service involvement can strengthen students’ MBA applications.

GMAT Reservation Criteria

The reservation is for candidates with disabilities
. People who fall under the reservation criteria will have to submit a few documents along with the GMAT application. Before that, there are certain conditions which they have to satisfy or fulfill. They are,

  • They have an impairment and how it limits their ability to attend the online GMAT exam under standard conditions.
  • The presence of an impairment that limits a major life activity when compared to other people.
GMAC considers the following categories as disabilities.

  • Psychological Disabilities.
  • Learning and Cognitive Disorder.
