You are guaranteed admission to UNT if you:

  • Have a cumulative unweighted high school GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Rank in the top 10% of your high school class
  • Rank in the next 15% and have a minimum 1030 SAT or 20 ACT
  • Rank in the 2nd quarter and have a minimum 1130 SAT or 23 ACT
  • Rank in the 3rd quarter and have a minimum 1250 SAT or 26 ACT
  • Are a registered participant in UNT's Eagle Advantage program

Admission to the University of North Texas is competitive, with an acceptance rate of 81%. Half of those admitted to UNT had an SAT score of 1010 to 1240 or an ACT score of 19 to 26. However, one-fourth of approved candidates received scores higher than these ranges, while the other quarter received lower scores.

  1. Fill out the application form on the UNT website's Official Application Portal.
  2. International students must pay an $85/INR 6,914 application fee to the University of North Texas. They can pay with a credit card, money order or check. The cost is non-refundable and must be paid in US dollars.
  3. Send legitimate high school and college transcripts, diplomas, and degree certificates through the mail. These should be written in English as well as in your native language. An academic institution or a licenced translator must complete the shared English translations. The institution does not accept notarised or copied transcripts.
  4. Students must demonstrate their English language skills by IELTS, TOEFL, or other tests.
  5. It is important to note that acceptance to UNT does not guarantee admission to the specific course you desire to pursue. As a result, contact your academic department for any extra needs (if any.)
