CGPA = (8+9+9+7+7)/5
CGPA = 40/5

To convert CGPA to percentage, you have to multiply the CGPA with a conversion factor. This conversion factor varies for different educational institutions. However, the most common conversion factor is 9.5 for a CGPA scale of 10 points. Similarly, for a 5-point CGPA scale, the common conversion factor is 4.0. The easiest method to convert CGPA to percentage is given below.
Step 1: Add the grade points in all subjects of the course.
Step 2: Divide the total grade points by the total number of subjects to obtain the CGPA.
Step 3: Multiply the CGPA by 9.5 to get the percentage.
This can be better understood with the help of an example. For instance, you had five subjects.

CGPA = (10+9+8+7+8)/5
