Hotel Management Entrance Exam

Due to the sheer growing popularity of hospitality and tourism, the government has developed a number of institutions to promote the industry and expand its presence. Following the establishment of many hospitality schools, each institute holds its own entrance exams for undergraduate and postgraduate admissions. The government established the National Council of Hotel Management and Catering Technology to promote education in the hospitality industry (NCHMCT). The Institute of Hotel Management (IHM) and the International Institute of Hotel Management are two of the most well-known HM schools (IIHM).

The National Council of Hotel Management Joint Entrance Examination (NCHM JEE) is held by the NCHMCT for admissions to 21 central and 25 state-affiliated Institutes of Hotel Management (IHMs), as well as other private and public institutions. 74 universities accept the NCHMJEE.
